Refund, Return & Exchange Policy

At The Forged, we strive to provide high-quality jewellery that you’ll love. Please read our policy carefully before making a purchase.

Returns & Exchanges

We do not offer refunds for change-of-mind purchases. However, we are happy to offer an exchange under the following conditions:

  • The item must be unused and in its original condition, including the original packaging.

  • The exchange request must be made within 7 days of receiving your order.

  • Customers are responsible for the shipping costs associated with returning an item for an exchange.

  • Items that have been worn, damaged, altered, or returned without their original packaging may not qualify for an exchange.

This policy does not limit or exclude any rights you may have under the South African Consumer Protection Act.

Damaged or Defective Items

We carefully inspect our jewellery before shipping. If your item arrives damaged or has a manufacturing defect, please contact us as soon as possible at:

Please include your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photographs of the item so that we can assess the issue and assist you.

Where applicable, defective or unsafe goods will be handled in accordance with your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.

Lifetime Warranty

Selected The Forged products may be covered by our Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects.

The Lifetime Warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Accidental damage

  • Improper use

  • Scratches or cosmetic damage

  • Damage caused by chemicals, perfumes, lotions, or other substances

  • Damage caused by failure to properly care for the jewellery

Where a warranty replacement is approved, a R199 processing fee may apply. This fee covers shipping and handling associated with the replacement.

How to Request an Exchange or Warranty Replacement

Important

The Forged reserves the right to inspect returned items before approving an exchange or warranty replacement.

This policy is subject to applicable South African consumer protection laws and does not exclude any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
